Cancellations

According to the terms and conditions established for Curbside Movers, last-minute cancellations will be managed as follows:

For cancellations carried out less than 1 hour in advance of the scheduled work, the customer base rate will be charged. This policy is designed to compensate for the company for time and resources already committed to the planned service.

It is important that customers take into account this period of 1 hour to avoid unnecessary charges. Users are recommended to notify any change in their plans as soon as possible to avoid incurring this penalty for late cancellation.

This cancellation policy helps maintain the operational efficiency of Curbside Movers and ensures that drivers and resources are not wasted due to last-minute cancellations.

In case of emergencies, Curbside Movers will apply a cancellation policy based on extraordinary or force majeure circumstances. These situations include unforeseen and inevitable events that escape the control of the client or the company and that prevent the programmed service. Specific policies are as follows:

Covered Circumstances

  • Natural disasters: hurricanes, earthquakes, floods or other extreme phenomena that directly affect the location of the client or the operation area.
  • Health emergencies: epidemics, pandemics or public health emergencies officially recognized by the authorities.
  • Government restrictions: Official Evacuation Orders, Compulsory Travel Restrictions or any other legal provision that prevents the provision of the service.
  • Major interruptions: prolonged failures in basic services such as electricity, water or essential roads to complete the service.
  • Other emergencies: unexpected civil obligations (such as judicial citations) or other similar situations.

Emergency Cancellation Management

If the client cancels due to an emergency covered by this policy:

  • The base rate or any penalty will not apply.
  • You can offer a complete refund or the option to reprogram the service at no additional cost.

If Curbside Movers cancels due to an emergency:

  • The client will be notified as soon as possible.
  • Any payment made or reprogramming according to availability will be reimbursed.

Required Documentation

To take advantage of this policy, the client must provide reasonable evidence of the extraordinary event (for example, official orders, weather reports or medical certificates). The application must be sent within a reasonable time after cancellation.

Exclusions

  • Personal changes not related to emergencies (such as schedule conflicts).
  • Predictable or usual situations in the area (unless they generate additional extreme conditions).

This policy seeks to guarantee flexibility and support in exceptional situations, protecting both the client and the company's operational resources.
